This project aims to install a rooftop solar photovoltaic system with a capacity of approximately 0.201 megawatts (201 kW) on the roof of Heartlands Academy in Birmingham. It's led by the E‑Act academy trust, who will operate and manage the system once built. The project was submitted to Birmingham City Council in July 2023 for planning approval under reference 2023/04551/PA, and as of the latest publicly available update, it is still awaiting construction. The project is a rooftop solar PV installation at Heartlands Academy, part of E‑Act’s larger roll‑out of solar across its schools, designed to generate clean electricity, cut energy bills, and support sustainability targets.
